Advanced I-Tree Streets and Eco Workshop

Natural Path Urban Forestry Consultants is providing a comprehensive workshop on the I-Tree suite of software with particular attention to the applications Streets and Eco.

This course trains participants on the details of planning and implementing an assessment for the tree population they manage. The workshop outcomes provide a powerful tool for developing proactive tree management policies. In addition, it will allow participants to better inform the public and elected officials on the important environmental and economic benefits of having healthy, expanding and sustained tree populations.

trees from above San DiegoThese comprehensive sessions cover two independent workshops over the course of two days. Each session is divided between time in the class and field. The primary focus of discussion will center on providing participants with a high level of competency in understanding, planning and implementing use of the ITREE-Streets and Eco environmental assessment software applications. The planning discussion will allow participants to develop a local project that best meets their needs. Implementation will involve comprehensive training on acquiring relevant tree data and migrating it into the applications.

Participants will conduct a range of sample inventories covering all data fields. Closing discussions detail how information from ITREE Streets and Eco provides a powerful tool for developing proactive tree management policies.

Course discussion will center on the Community Tree Guides associated with the climatic areas for Coastal California, the Desert Southwest and the Inland West. Guides will be provided.
